If you think that Pfannkuchen is the pancake you used to know, then you are wrong. But do not be sad, I thought so too. German Pfannkuchen is crêpes, not like American pancake you see in the magazine or some foodie blogs around the net. I believe most kids in Germany likes to eat Pfannkuchen, at least this is what I heard from my friends. While Pfannkuchen is normally eaten for breakfast, at my son Kindergarten, he has Pfannkuchen for lunch. Last week before sleeping while hugging me, K asked me to make him Pfannkuchen for breakfast . He said that at Kindergarten, he ate Pfannkuchen either with cherry sauce or vanilla sauce, but this time, he wants my vanilla custard that I used to make for Donauwelle. Okay son, your wish is granted I used the recipe from...

Before I started my foodblog but already started to cook by my own (around 2007), Adventurelicious has been my playground. Reading the recipes and looking at the photos there were (and still are) my favorite activity whenever I have time to be online. It didn’t take times for me to instantly acclaimed myself as the author’s fan. I love the way she told us a story in each of her recipe and I adore her talent in food photography. Now, the author of my fav foodblog, Vania Samperuru herself, is going to share you her breakfast experience. It’s really an honor for me to have her as my guest writer. She said even her son’s friends will ask her to make this waffle whenever they spend the night there. I was so lucky to have a chance to taste it and it was indeed yummy. She told me that this recipe has been on trial for quite sometimes until she got the perfect one. She said the secret is in the instant vanilla sauce, it makes this recipe special. You can check...

Though sometimes the fun is coming along with frustrating too when your work in the kitchen is not suit to his* taste. I’m blessed for having a not picky eater son, but like any toddler in the world, he has his period when he doesn’t want to eat at all. My son loves to eat vegetables (I’m really a happy mommy); spinach, broccoli and green bean are his fav. I make them as soup, stir fry, casserole or hid them in any kind of nugget. Sometimes he is enjoying eating veggies only by steaming them. The recipe of colorful veggie below I created when he was on his I-don’t-want-to-eat-at-all period and it saved me...
