The recipe of this blueberry cheesecake has been delayed for almost 4 years. For those who’s been readers of my old blog might have known the reason. Although I have not gotten any answer from my friend, I decided to post the recipe as I altered it.
After baking this cake several times, I tried to modify the recipe by substituting cream cheese to mascarpone cheese and I never looked back considering the result, it was heavenly delicious!
I know for some people especially those who live in Indonesia, changing cream cheese to mascarpone cheese means more cost. Yes, in Indonesia, diary products are expensive hence I did not bake regularly as I used to in Germany. So, if you prefer to have cream cheese instead of mascarpone cheese, do not worry, it was delish too.
For the crust, you can either make it from scratch or use biscuit base. On my first attempt, I made it from scratch but nowadays I use digestive biscuit instead. Which one is better in taste depends on your liking, but using biscuit as the base is safe you a lot, both in time and ingredients consumed.
If you want to make the crust from scratch, you can use the recipe below:

What you need:
150 gr all-purpose-flour
1 egg yolk
50 gr icing sugar
1 pack vanilla sugar
Mix all the ingredients in a bowl until incorporated and non-sticky. Cover the bowl with aluminum foil, store in a fridge for 1 hour. After 1 hour, form the dough on the baking pan, pin with the fork. Bake in the oven of 180°C for 10 minutes . Remove from oven and spring with 1 teaspoon of bread crumb before pouring the cheesecake mixture.

By the way, I will be hosting DMBLGIT February 2012 edition and I cannot wait for it as the last time I hosted this event was 4 years ago. Means it has been more than 3 years I didn’t participate in DMBLGIT. Yup, I decided to stop joining this photo contest as participants since my last badge.
