Food-o-grafie #2 - Lens

I promised Zorra of Kochtopf - 1x umrühren bitte to participate in her food photography event called Food-o-grafie for the second edition. After I joined in the first one that talked about my camera, now I have to share which lens I used.

Truthfully, I have only two lenses, one is the kitlens (EF-S 18-55 f/EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6) that attached with the camera when I bought it and the second one is primary lens (EF 50mm f/1.8 II) that I bought in Indonesia through my sister and my best friend brought it with her (sounds complicated, right?). After I got my 50mm f/1.8, I always shot my food with it. I love it very much and so far I am satisfied with the result. It can get you your desired DoF and make your dream bokeh. But, the AF (auto focus) is quite frustrating sometimes. Not only that it sounds quite loudly but also is easy to miss the focus. As I said here, I anticipated it with using MF (manual focus) yet it didn't work every now and then. Still it is recommended for people who likes food photography and the most important, it is inexpensive.

Nowadays, I used this lens also for landscape photography or portrait. Last week I used it for prewedding photo shooting. The result was good, unfortunately I cant share you the photos, since it cant be published until the wedding. In this photoshooting, I again proved that 50mm f/1.4 is much better than 50mm f/1.8.

To complete the task of Food-o-grafie#2 - Lens, I present you the two photos below. Both I took with 50mm f/1.8, I forgot to take with my kitlens and I realized the next day when the cake has gone. Sorry Zorra, hope you don't mind.
